Rald is a self-taught artist from Yorkshire, England whose work has a strong focus on abstraction. His initial inspiration was drawn from skateboard and surf culture and over the years his artwork has transformed into an exploration around graffiti, colour and expressionism.

 
“From a curling wave on the Cornish coastline, to gestural graffiti on the streets of Leeds, I draw inspiration from the situations I continue to experience. There are many influences in my life which have had a big impact on the visual elements of my artwork, as well as the concepts and processes behind it.
